This year’s commencement will mark the end of one era and the beginning of a new one. Daniel Aleshire, the Executive Director of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, will be our graduation speaker and The Rev. Geoffrey Black, General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ, will also take part. We are making plans for live internet streaming of the event, which will be recorded for later viewing. See schedule on page 5...

After July 1, 2013, Bangor Theological Seminary (BTS) will become The BTS Center, continuing to operate as a non-profit charitable organization in the State of Maine, and functioning within the Seminary’s original, historic, chartered educational mission. While The BTS Center will not offer graduate theological degrees, the mission remains an educational venture as we seek “to equip and support clergy and laity for theologically grounded and effective 21st Century ministries.” Read more on page 12... |
